This is the privacy statement regarding the processing of personal data by Variopool B.V. and its subsidiaries, located at 1724 BG Oudkarspel aan de Haarspit 3 (hereinafter: Variopool B.V.), www.variopool.nl. The subdomains concern Variopool.co.uk, Varioplay, Variodeck, Variomedic and Holland Aqua Sight.

Applicability

This privacy statement applies to all privacy-sensitive information or personal data that you provide to us, for example via a registration form, contact form or orders you place. We attach great importance to the privacy of our customers and therefore treat the processing and protection of personal data with the utmost care. We process data in accordance with the terms set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Variopool B.V. is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR with regard to the processing of your personal data. This means that only we determine which personal data are processed, for what purpose and in what way. We are responsible for ensuring that your personal data is processed correctly and carefully in accordance with the GDPR. In this privacy statement we explain which data we process and for what purposes these are used.

Purpose and legal basis for the processing of personal data

Variopool B.V. processes your personal data only when there is a valid legal basis for doing so. Depending on the circumstances, the processing may be based on:

  • the execution of an agreement to which you are a party or the execution of pre-contractual measures requested by you;
  • our legitimate interest in answering your questions, maintaining business relationships, handling commercial requests or providing support regarding our products and services;
  • your consent, if required, for example for certain marketing communications or the use of non-essential cookies;
  • the compliance with legal obligations that apply to us.

When the processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Such a withdrawal has no effect on the legality of the processing that took place before your consent was withdrawn.

  • to manage pre-contractual, contractual or commercial relationships with you, your company or the organization you represent;

We do not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data was collected.

Transfer to third parties

We may share your personal data with third parties if this is compatible with the purposes mentioned above. Sharing with third parties may be necessary for the execution of the agreement we enter into with you, necessary to pursue a legitimate interest of ours, or necessary to comply with a legal obligation that rests on us. We enter into a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for these processing activities. Apart from the above-mentioned situations, we only provide your personal data to other third parties with your express consent.

We may use your personal data for commercial purposes, for example to provide you with further information about our services or relevant products or services from carefully selected organizations. You also have the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is in violation of the applicable data protection legislation. In the Netherlands, this is the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP).

Security

We take security measures to limit the misuse and unauthorized access to personal data. In particular, we take the following measures:

  • control over the powers granted within our company
